Wondering who this guy is? His name is Luffy, he is the protagonist of 'One Piece'. One Piece is an anime created by Eichiro Oda based on pirates. The main story of the anime is to find the treasure of the previous pirate king Gol D. Roger who revolutionized the young generation during his execution and started the great pirate era. Pirates from all over the world started their journey to find that treasure called 'One Piece'.

In that same era Luffy was born and was getting mentored by a pirate named Shanks. He was inspired by him and made the dream to be the Pirate king and find the treasure one piece. Thus, his journey began at the age of 17 to find the one piece and fulfilling his promise to Shanks. Through time Luffy has progressed and became very strong and even recently became the emperor of the sea.

Luffys crewmates are named stawhats. They are known as the strawhat pirates, Luffy being the captain and his loyal crewmates as the henchmen.
Pirate Hunter Zoro: Zoro is the first crewmate of Luffy. Zoro is a swordsman whose dream is to become the strongest swordman as he promised it to his childhood friend and to defeat Mihawk . Zoro promised his loyalty to Luffy after getting saved by him. Zoro's loyalty for Luffy is showed in many arcs. But the most noticeable one is when Zoro took all of Luffy's physical pain and said, "Nothing Happened". This shows how much Zoro is committed to Luffy.

Cat Bugler Nami: Nami is the navigator of the crew. She is the second member, and her dream is to draw the map of the whole world. Nami is weak among the whole members, but she is loyal for her captain. And can show the best routes for getting that one piece.

God Usopp: Usopp is the sharpshooter and secondary shipwright of the crew. His aim is to be the best sniper of the world and his ambition is great to none. His father is Yasopp and is part of Shanks crew. He is the best sniper currently. As Luffy knows Yasopp and wants to surpass shanks Usopp and Luffy shares a great bond to fulfilling their dream.

Black leg Sanji: Sanji is the chef for the crew and also a great fighter. Sanji's dream is to find all blue. It is said that where all sides of the sea are met. To fulfill that dream he is on the journey with Luffy as they both share an almost unattainable dream. As he is a chef, he only fights with legs, that's how his nickname came.

Devil Child Robin: Robin is the archeologist of the strawhats. She has the ability to read poneglyph. They are the stones which indicates the routes to laugh Tale where one piece is located and ancient history. For Luffy Robin is very important. The ability to read poneglyphs was prohibited by the world government and as a result robin was wanted by them. But luffy saved robin from the world government and declared war against them by burning their flag. This made robin very loyal to Luffy and she will do whatever the captain wants her to do.

Chopper: He is the doctor of the crew. Chopper is a reindeer who ate the human no mi devil fruit and thus can speak human language. He has the ability to give full strength to some part of the organs and through time he becomes stronger. He has special rumble balls by which if he overdoses himself, he transforms to a monster. Luffy saved choppers hometown from evil people and invited chopper to become his doctor.

Franky: Franky is a cyborg and the shipwright of straw hats. Franky is son of tom who was the shipwright of Gol D. Roger. At first Franky was enemy of Luffy. and not only that he also injured Usopp badly. But in that same arc robin was captured by the world government and they destroyed Franky's family. As a common enemy Franky helped Luffy and his teammates to rescue robin and defeat cp9 the secret organization for the world government. After defeating them he joined the strawhats. He also made Luffy's current ship the thousand sunny.

Soulking Brook: Brook is the musician. He ate the yomi yomi no mi, which gave him the power to resurrect his soul. Now he is just a skeleton with a soul. He is also a swordsman, and he listens every command of Luffy without any question. Brook proved himself to Luffy when he copied the road poneglyph of big mom.

Knight of the sea Jinbei: Jinbei is the latest member of the stawhats and he is a fishman. He is a former warlord. He was part of big mom pirates but after whole cake island he swore his allegiance to Luffy and officially joined stawhats after Wano arc.
