One-Punch Man: Being overpowered is too boring

One-Punch Man is a japanese webcomic, manga and Anime created by One in 2009 and later got picked up by none other than Murata Yuusuke to draw it along side of the original writer.

The series focuses on a guy named Saitama who is your average normal guy from the outside at least. Saitama is a normal guy who lives his daily boring life like all of us worrying about the the monthly rent and the food costs. One day he misses a bargain sale in the super market and got upset over it.

He lives in a run down one room apartment in the outskirts of the city to save money on rent. To outsiders he may seem like a weak and funny guy (well can't argue on the second one) he is definitely not weak. Saitama is strong beyond anyone's imagination as he can beat the strongest foes with ease without breaking a sweat. He can literally Beat almost anyone with one single punch and thus where the name of the series "One-Punch Man" comes from. he is soo strong that he killed a giant man made At least a Dragon Class monster named Marugori that was destroying cities after cities just by walking with One Punch. and yes all of these happened on episode 1 of the anime.

He is so strong that he is getting bored of fighting monsters as they are too weak for him to fight against.

So many people will ask "how did he get this strong?" and people would assume he got superpowers from somewhere or he is an alien or something but no the answer to that is quite funny as saitama explained to Carnage Kabuto and Genos when he got scared of saitama and asked how did he got this strong, he goes 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and a 10km run for every single day for 3 long years. Yes this is the secret behind his strength. 3 years ago saitama was an ordinary salary worker in japan who lived a taxing and boring perpetual life but then one day he saw a crab monster attacking a kid in the playground and seeing that saitama rushed to save the kid and he did by ripping the eyes out of the monster which killed it and saitama realized that this feeling of excitement was what missing in his life and thus he quit his job and started training and fighting monsters wherever he encountered them and he stated being a self proclaimed Hero for fun.

One day Saitama while fighting a mosquito loses his composure and gets serious about killing it and while doing that he runs to the streets and meets Genos a cyborg fighting Mosquito Girl and when mosquito girl almost kills genos and that pushed Genos to almost self-destruct Saitama saves the day and then Genos recognizes Saitama's Strength and decides to become his pupil. Sometime after both of them joins the "Hero Association" to be officially recognized as a Hero to earn a living out of it while fighting monsters and saving the day.

The Hero Association: 

The Hero Association is a organization that manages all the heroes of the cities. It was founded by a multi-millionaire named Agoni. He also created the national hero registry which classifies all the heroes with a hierarchical class system. The classes are C, B, A & S. It ranges from C to S from weak to strongest. Among these classes there are individual ranking of the heroes that increases depending on their accomplishments.

The association also implemented the Monster ranking system that classifies the monsters by their threat level and these are - 

Wolf: Any potential threat that poses a danger to an unknown degree.
Tiger: Any threat to a large number of people.

Demon: Any threat to a city and its people.
Dragon: Any threat to multiple cities.
God: A threat endangering the survival of humanity in general.

To fight a monster of a higher threat level they dispatch higher rank heroes for safety of the citizens. There are about  390 heroes in the C class, 101 heroes in the B class, 38 heroes in the A class and Lastly 17 heroes in the S class. The highest ranking Heroes are the S class Heroes. Among them there are some insanely strong heroes with great potential that stand out.

Saitama's Battles:

Saitama has fought many foes in his life but there are a few fights that kind of stand out. as they were really strong compared to other heroes somewhat. some of these are - 

Saitama vs Deep Sea King:

Before Saitama Fought Deep Sea King this monster who is classified as a Dragon Class defeated many other heroes such as puri-puri prisoner, lightning max and several other lower ranked heroes. One of the strongest villains like Speed o sound sonic also escaped because he claimed he can't beat it without his weapons. Genos almost killed it but Genos was also defeated while he was saving a child. The the No 1 C class hero Mumen Rider comes to the scene and with bravery he tries to fight Deep Sea King but he got beaten pretty easily but at the last moment Saitama comes and saves him and then He just Punches Deep Sea King once and kills it on the spot but to save the other heroes faces he claimed to the citizens that he killed it while t was weakened by the other heroes which really moved Genos.

Saitama vs Boros:

Saitama has fought many foes in his life but after becoming too strong he could beat anyone with one punch but after a long time he found someone who could take his punches and not die easily and it was Boros the self proclaimed Dominator of the Universe. Boros lived in a faraway planet where no one could beat him and then he sought find someone he could fight on equal footing and an alien seer told him that the opponent he sought he could find him in a faraway world and thus after 20 long years of journey he came to earth hoping to find someone strong and after meeti8ng Saitama his wish was fulfilled as Saitama was also really strong. On the other hand earth being in danger Saitama boarded the alien ship to find out who was behind it and ultimately he found boros and after punching him once he saw that he didn't die that made Saitama surprised and then both of them fought against each other and Boros came at him with full power and in the middle of that he also sent Saitama to the moon  thinking that he defeated him but Saitama easily came back and surprised boros hit saitama with hs ultimate attack Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon and then Saitama gets serious and uses one of his killer moves named lazily Serious Punch and destroying everything in it's path and killing boros.

One-Punch Man is a series that interested watchers of any age and demographic can enjoy because while it heavily focus on the action and shounen genre but the comedy and the unique plot of it also makes it a really enjoyable watch for everyone. The series has 2 seasons so far and if anyone is interested what happens after that they can also read the Source material of the Anime Which comes from the Manga with the same name "One-Punch man" by Murata Yuuske and One.
