Herrschers and Their Powers (Honkai Impact 3rd)
Honkai Impact 3rd is a 3D, role playing action game developed by Hoyoverse (previously Mihoyo). It was released as a sequel to the story of Honkai Gakuen 2.
The game revolves around a 18 year old girl named Kiana Kaslana, her genius friend 17 year old Bronya Zaychik and their Senpai(senior) 21 year old Raiden Mei. They are part of a Valkyrie(those who can harness Honkai energy) team. While they try to live a carefree life in ST.Freya Academy, several world-ending threats lurk among the shadows while Honkai Energy powered Beasts roam around the world.
The main theme of the story is the dominant Honkai energy and its effect on Earth. Alike String Theory, HI3rd has an universe with 11 dimensions. Honkai energy is believed to be the residual energy leaking from those dimensions. Cocoon of Finality, a multidimensional being capable of harnessing those energies, targets Earth to create a being similar to itself. So, it repeatedly resets the planet to the start whenever it nears extinction. To accomplish this, it creates Herrschers in the form of Humans to test them.
HERRSCHER:
Herrscher is part of COCOON OF FINALITY when it divides itself and possesses Humans to give them immense control over Honkai Energy. Throughout history, there are several such Herrschers, some working for Humans and while others against.
Reason + Truth::
Users---- Welt Joyce..... Welt Yang..... Bronya Zaychik
Powers-- Able to construct anything that he/she fully understands, control the thoughts of deceased
Trivia--- Joyce was born from the memories of 300,000 deceased people. After his death, his powers were passed onto Yang. Bronya got the power in Sea of Quanta (free space among the pocket universes) while searching for her closest friend Seele Vollerei who accidentally got thrown after a failed experiment. Bronya managed to control the memories and awakened as HERRSCHER OF TRUTH in the process.
Void::
Users---- Sirin.... Kiana Kaslana(K-423)
Powers-- Able to control space and teleport.
Trivia--- Sirin as the first antagonist, was subjected to experiments due to her high Honkai Energy resistance. Due to the anger towards researchers, she awoken as Herrscher. She was subdued after a long fight by Kiana's father, Seigfried Kaslana. Otto Apocalypse later created a homunculus namely K-423 to harness her power. This prompted Kiana to awoken as a Herrscher.
Thunder::
Users---- Raiden Mei
Powers-- Control electricity and electromagnetism.
Trivia--- Mei was troubled by her cancellation from everyone. She became the prime target for Gem of Conquest (lesser variant of Herrscher powers) when it manifested. She awoken as the Herrscher who worked against Humans. But after meeting Kiana, her heart began to change.
Wind::
Users---- Wendy
Powers-- Able to control weather.
Trivia---- Wendy awoken due to her hatred towards people who only saw her as a tool. She managed to wreck havoc in New Zealand before being killed by Cocolia (step-mother of Bronya).
Ice + Rimestar::
Users---- Ana Schariac
Powers-- Able to control thermal fluctuations to molecular level.
Trivia---- Born as a heiress to legendary Schariac family, she awoken from the guilt of killing her best friend, Owl's sister. Owl, nevertheless, tried to return her back to normal and in the process, fused with her to become the Herrscher of Rimestar.
Stars::
Users---- Owl
Powers-- Able to manipulate Gravity.
Trivia---- Born in a common family, his mutual love to Ana was lovely for players. In the end, they both died with no regret for themselves but for us players.
Sentience::
Users---- Alternative version of Fu Hua
Powers-- Able to manipulate reality, creature consciousness.
Trivia---- Deemed as the best girl of the game, she was born when COCOON OF FINALITY tried to make a Herrscher from the memories of Fu Hua (a 50,000 year old near immortal girl). While under the delusion that she was the real Fu Hua, she fought with every character until she lost against Kiana who was aided by Fu Hua.
Domination::
Users----- Innumerable
Powers--- Able to control living people to form army and hijack other Herrscher powers.
Trivia----- They were able to form huge army managing to defeat several other Herrschers while trying to create a singular entity consists of all people in the world.
Flamescion::
Users---- Kiana Kaslana
Powers-- Control heat and space manipulation.
Trivia---- Grief-stricken by the loss of her mentor, Kiana harnessed the power of Herrscher of Flame and combined it with her Void powers to defeat Herrscher of Dominance.
Corruption::
Users---- AI
Powers-- Able to corrupt anything.
Trivia---- It corrupted Elysian Realm (data center made of information from 50000 years ago) but was eradicated by Flame chasers and Raiden.
Origin::
Users---- Raiden Mei
Powers-- Fate manipulation and nigh omnipotence power.
Trivia---- Mei was entrusted this power by very first Human's Herrscher in all timeline, Elysia to continue to maintain fate's direction in favor of Human.
Finality::
Users---- Kiana Kaslana
Powers-- All power of every Herrschers and control COCCON OF FINALITY.
Trivia---- Kiana had the task of saving the world by hijacking COCOON and remove Honkai energy from Earth.
Rebirth::
Users---- Seele Vollerei
Powers-- Total control over life/death and matter creation down to atomic level.
Trivia---- Seele was granted this power in Sea of Quanta while trying save her dual personality, Veliona and a bubble universe from Sa, a universe-eater.
All these Herrschers were changed from previous Samsara(cycle of 50000 years that is utilized by COCOON OF FINALITY) due to the intervention of Flame chasers like Elysia, KEVIN etc.
